My Personal Experience With The VIZIO VM230XVT LED TV
I grabbed this high definition LED TV as a replacement for my 20 inch LG TV that I use in my home office. I figured that it will go out any time soon and finding a good replacement is the way to go.

As for the replacement, I might as well grab something that's on the bleeding edge of technology, affordable, and at the same time, built to last for years. It seemed wishful thinking to search for a high definition TV that meets all of the standards above, but the VIZIO VM230XVT LED TV proves that such wonderful TV sets exists!

When I linked it and turned it on, I was amazed at the excellent picture quality. I have owned 4 high definition TVs and I have to replace all of them at least once. I have owned a projection LCD, a plasma, as well as CCFL and backlight LCD television sets. None of them could rival the picture quality that I get from the VIZIO VM230XVT LED TV.

The standard definition channels look as great and as detailed as high definition channels on this television set.

The only minor quibble that I have with it is that the volume bar doesn't move up when the sound is muted. The volume remains muted unless you un-mute it. A little annoying for me BUT with all of the pluses that the VIZIO VM230XVT LED TV offers, this is a non issue.

Some of the BIGGEST advantages that LED TVs have over their CCFL counterparts is the fact that they consume less power, the expected life span of the backlight, as well as the image quality.

Looking at the advertisement, the VIZIO VM230XVT LED TV is reported to draw and consume only 30 watts. BUT after doing my own tests, my UPS reported that it consumes only 26 watts!

For CCFL TVs, their backlights are their weakest link. On the other hand, LED TVs can last virtually forever. It remains to be seen what would be the weakest link of this TV.
